  -Ending the Silence
is an in-school presentation designed to teach middle and high school students about the signs and symptoms of mental illness, how to recognize the early warning signs and the importance of acknowledging those warning signs. Through this classroom presentation, students get to see the reality of living with a mental health condition.
*3 types of presentations are available: for students, for staff and also for families


-In Our Own Voice
trained presenters who are in recovery from mental illness share compelling personal testimonies about their experiences of living with and dealing with the challenges posed by mental illness.

 


Bereavement

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

This is a non-denominational support group for anyone who has lost a loved one. Registration is not necessary and there is no charge for attending. For more information, please call Deacon Trapani at 845-333-1014. Group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 10-11:30 p.m. and attendance is not required at all sessions.


Location: Orange Regional Medical Center's Community Health Education Center at 110 Crystal Run Road, Middletown NY.

No registration required. Walk-in's welcome. 


Perinatal Bereavement Group

When a pregnancy ends in a loss many couples feel afraid, isolated, angry, confused, disappointed and sad. Orange Regional’s free Perinatal Bereavement support group provides families an opportunity to listen and/or share their experiences in a comfortable and safe environment.

No matter where you are in the process of loss, grief or healing, Orange Regional’s multidisciplinary team of child life specialists, social workers, nurses, physicians and chaplains provide expert physical, emotional, and spiritual support for parents mourning loss such as:

  • Stillborn and newborn death
  • Miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy
  • Subsequent pregnancy after a loss
  • Recurrent loss
  • Loss complicated by infertility
